Mable Kwan is the best grifter who ever lived. And this tough cookie raised her kids to be just like her. Son Francis is the top roper around and H, the number one fixer. When daughter Blue surprises them all by putting together the score of the decade, will the entire family get in on the action or will one of them walk away with it all? Fast, funny, dark and dangerous—this skewed look at family and ambition keeps us guessing about who’s on top and who’s getting conned.
Fast Company is a fun and fresh contemporary play. Our audience had an opportunity not only to see this before any other audience sees it, but also to help shape it through their response. Fundamentally we want to make good theatre with new plays and tell a story to our audience that gives them a chance to participate in the creation of something.
-Marc Masterson, Artistic Director
Through the generosity of the Edgerton Foundation, each playwright and creative team will enjoy one extra week of rehearsal at SCR to refine the details of the production in advance of its world premiere. This additional collaboration time during the final phase of development will help these exceptional new plays reach their full potential.
