How To Apply
Applications must be jointly developed by the actor and host theatre, and ultimately submitted by the actor. If you have any questions relating to the application process, including accessibility needs, please contact Joshua Smalley, artistic and international programs associate, at email@example.com.
Step 1: Download and read the Guidelines. Please read carefully, noting the selection criteria (page 4) and guidelines regarding components of your application, such as work samples and letters of recommendation (page 5).
Step 2: Either the Actor or the Host Theatre may initiate the application. To begin, please choose the correct Online Application Form based on applicant type. Choosing the correct Online Application Form is important, because questions vary depending on the applicant type.
Click on the appropriate link below and follow the instructions on the subsequent pages:

NOTE: At any given moment you can select Save & Finish Later before you log off from your application session. To return to your application after you log off, please click here.
Step 3: The application portal will allow the Actor and Host Theatre to share access to the application so you can complete the application together. The user who begins the application (either the Actor or the Host Theatre Contact) can give access to another person to view the in progress application by selecting the Save & Finish Later button and clicking the Manage viewers icon. Also, the user who initiates the application (either the Actor or the Host Theatre Contact) can also give permission to another person to edit the application by transferring the ownership of the application. To do this, select the Save & Finish Later button and click the Transfer to a new owner icon.
Step 4: Submit your application materials through TCG's Online Application Portal by November 19, 2019, NOON ET.
It has come to the attention of TCG that Questions #4 and #5 in the NARRATIVE > ACTOR NARRATIVE QUESTIONS section of the Online Application Form do not allow the applicant to answer within the proper word limit (both questions have a word limit of 300 words, but the application form does not allow responses above 250 words). If an applicant would like to submit an answer to Questions #4 and/or #5 that exceeds 250 words (up to 300), please follow the instructions below:
Step 1: In the ACTOR NARRATIVE section of the Online Application Form, please answer Questions #4 and #5 up to the word limit allowed by the form (250 words).
Step 2: Submit your application materials through TCG’s Online Application Portal, as stated in the main instructions above, by November 19, 2019, NOON ET.
Step 3: Email firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information written in the body of the email by November 19, 2019, NOON ET:
1. The First and Last Name of the applicant Actor written on the Online Application Form
2. The Host Theatre Legal Name written on the Online Application Form
3. Response(s) to Questions #4 and/or #5 of the ACTOR NARRATIVE section of the Online Application Form (up to 300 words each). Please indicate which question each answer refers to.
The emailed submission will be forwarded to the selection panel along with the materials submitted through the Online Application Portal. ONLY responses to Questions #4 and/or #5 of the ACTOR NARRATIVE section may be submitted through email; responses to all other questions will not be accepted via email. Please note this additional submission is NOT required if your answers to Questions #4 and/or #5 are 250 words or less.
To clarify, the ACTOR NARRATIVE questions referred to are below:
Question 4: How will the Fox Fellowship contribute to the acting and community engagement goals stated in your response to Question 3?
Question 5: Why have you chosen to work with your proposed host theatre?
a. If this is a new relationship, what prompted you to approach this particular theatre, and what do you hope to learn? How will establishing a relationship with this company contribute to the fulfillment of your acting and community-based goals?
b. If this is an established relationship, discuss your history with the company and how cultivating a deeper relationship with the company will contribute to the fulfillment of your acting and community-based goals.
