TCG.org Comment Board Policy
The comment/ message board sections contained on all TCG.org web properties are referred to as the Comment Board in this document.
TCG.org reserves the right to refuse to post or remove any users, materials, or links we deem unacceptable, offensive or for any reasonable cause. We also reserve the right to suspend or prohibit any user who violates the rights of TCG.org, of any other user, or of any third party without warning.
TCG.org reserves the right to revoke any commenter who purposely provides false information in a post.
TCG.org can modify, transmit, distribute or delete your posting without needing permission from you. TCG.org does not edit postings and is not responsible for the content of posted comments. Postings may be removed by TCG.org at any time at its sole discretion.
TCG.org reserves the right to modify the Comment Board from time to time, for any reason or for no reason at all, with or without notice, including the right to terminate the Comment Board and the comments posted thereon in their entirety.
TCG.org reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions from time to time, for any reason or for no reason at all, with or without notice.
By posting, accessing, or using the materials or bulletin board on this website you agree to follow and be bound by these rules, and these terms and conditions of use. All decisions of site management regarding the application of these rules are final.
Users may not use the Comment Board to post any images, information, data, text, files, links, software, messages, or other communications that are unlawful, threatening, harassing, abusive, harmful, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or racially or ethnically hateful including that pertaining to sexual orientation in any manner, shape or form. Comments and Threads containing any of the above will be deleted and the offending users banned.
Users may not use the Comment Board to publish post, distribute, or disseminate any comment that infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property right of any third party. TCG.org reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, if any comment is in violation of these Terms and Conditions.
Any posts that attempts to get around any rule in any way or are suspect as such by board monitors will also be removed and a warning may be sent. Please be advised accordingly.
Guests should also be advised that any ISP rules apply to all email and IM even if they are in response to posts or discussions on our boards. All members are personally responsible for whatever they say in private communications such as IM and email, and may find unwanted or offensive material actionable. Please be advised that this would also apply to any post being selected on the boards to be sent to another poster.
Personal attacks (flaming) towards users, staff members, or others are not allowed. If you disagree with a posting you may post a message that communicates your disagreement in a non-threatening manner.
It is TCG.org’s intent to provide free speech for all and to protect the real-world identity and privacy of those who wish to maintain online anonymity. Encrypted or non-English posts that prevent other guests from reading them and our monitors from checking for violations may be removed and a warning sent.
Email addresses or IM screen names, not made public online by the member are considered confidential and identifying information, and are not allowed. That would include the posting of email addresses with the expressed intention to get other posters to spam the recipient with unwanted messages, which may also be actionable by your ISP. This does not include speculation about alternate names used for posting to our boards.
Posts containing links to any area that would violate these rules may be removed.
In the event of a complaint or legal action involving any posting made by you we may assist in revealing your identity.
Advertising is the buying, selling or trading of any commercial product, service, or item.
Posts containing any commercial advertising are not allowed.
Messages, whose purpose is solely to generate traffic to another site, may not be posted.
The solicitation of names, addresses, and phone numbers for any purpose is not allowed. Polls or surveys that may cause members to unwittingly post or submit identifying information may also be removed from the board.
Impersonation of another person is defined as using look-alike characters and/or content intended to deliberately deceive others to believe that the poster is another person.
Impersonation will not be tolerated and the offending account will be removed as well as any posts made under that account without warning.
Parodies, including similar but obviously different screen names, or the use of another poster’s signature line in a post, are not considered to be impersonation.Back to top
