New York, November 2006— Theatre Communications Group (TCG)  is happy to announce the publication of the 24th edition of the Dramatists Sourcebook. Fully revised and updated every two years, this edition contains 900 opportunities for playwrights, translators, composers, lyricists and librettists, including script-submission procedures for 340 professional theatres and 120 prizes. Also included are scores of publishers, fellowships, residencies and developmental programs, and listings of literary agents, service organizations, state art agencies and reference publications. The Sourcebook is thoroughly indexed both by theatre/fellowship as well by play type, and contains an invaluable calendar of submission deadlines and online resources.

The 24th edition Dramatists Sourcebook includes "A Simple Working Guide for Playwrights" by Tony Kushner, who offers words of advice on formatting and sending scripts, writing letters of inquiry and a strong synopsis, and the art of waiting for a response.

The Sourcebook is available at fine bookstores. It can also be purchased at TCG's online bookstore at www.tcg.org or by calling TCG customer service at
