American Theatre's 25th Anniversary Benefit was Monday, April 20, 2009 at Studio 450 (450 West 31st Street @ 10th Avenue, New York, NY) from 7:00-9:00. There were 360° views of New York City, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and American Theatre’s Celebrity Piano Bar.

7:00-9:00 - American Theatre’s Celebrity Piano Bar is open for business
Argentinean tango-jazz pianist Emilio Solla, playing excerpts from his new musical. Solla, recently returned from a European tour, can be seen next at the Jazz Standard on June 23rd.
7:20 – Laura Osnes is ‘OVER THE RAINBOW’
Laura, currently starring as Nellie Forbush in South Pacific at Lincoln Center’s Vivian Beaumont Theater, sings of the dream that fueled her journey from the Minneapolis Children's Theater Company to Broadway.
7:30 - Michael John leaves a Giant in Virginia!
For one night only, Michael John LaChiusa leaves the world premiere of his musical Giant at the Signature Theatre in Virginia, to join his friend and Mary Testa for a little cabaret in the piano bar.
8:00 – Editors’ toast
Jim O’Quinn and our surprise guest playwright, an actor, songwriter, director, visual artist, and activist Taylor Mac.
8:40 – AMERIVILLE conquers Louisville!
Steven Sapp, Mildred Ruiz and their theatre company UNIVERSES perform an excerpt from AMERIVILLE, the opening selection of the 2009 Humana Festival at The Actors Theatre of Louisville.

Michael John LaChiusa, Tony Award-nominated American musical theatre composer, lyricist, and librettist best known for complex, musically challenging shows such as Hello Again, Marie Christine, The Wild Party, and See What I Wanna See.
Marc Kudisch, seen this spring in the Joe Mantello-directed Dolly Parton musical 9 to 5 w/ Allison Janney, Stephanie J. Block & Megan Hilty as Franklin Hart, Jr.
Mary Testa, two-time Tony Award nominee, for performances in revivals of Leonard Bernstein's On the Town and 42nd Street.
