Lodging

While many of this year's housing options are within walking distance to the conference site, many of them will require a short bus ride. TCG will arrange for transportation to and from the Guthrie, with several buses in the morning and several buses at the end of each day's conference programming. Other transportation needs will be at the participant's discretion.

A convenient and comfortable choice, the newly redesigned Holiday Inn is located just 5 blocks from the new Guthrie and nearby many restaurants. The Days Inn University in Minneapolis is a warm, friendly and modern 6-story hotel on the eastern edge of the University of Minnesota campus. Each room is equipped with a TV, refrigerator and coffee maker. Every morning they offer all guests a complimentary continental breakfast consisting of coffee, milk, orange juice, donuts, and cereal. For those who prefer a hot breakfast, Baker's Square Restaurant and Pie Shop is located adjacent to the hotel. The University of Minnesota is located just a short bus ride or a 25 minute walk from the new Guthrie Theater. Share a room with a friend for $40/person/night or get a single room for $50/person/night. Breakfast and 24/7 computer lab access is included. The dorms are built in a semi-suite set-up; two rooms share one bathroom. Parking is available for $5.50 per day. Accommodations are bright and clean and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. To reserve a dorm room, use the conference registration form.  If you are requesting a double room, include the name of the person you intend to share the room with.
