For the 2011 Conferece, TCG requested proposals for "Whatifestos" (a manifesto framed by the question "what if...?"). Attendees were asked to ask "and pose an answer to" a challenging question related to the theatre field. Below are the five whatifestos selected for presentation at the 2011 TCG National Conferece.

"What if...The Theatre Field Sought Transformation?" by Jacob Padrón

"What if...Theatre Theatre Were a Product Not Just of the Artistic Prowess of a Small Creative Team But of the Efforts of the Community at Large, Triggering a Universal Sense of Ownership Over the Piece?" by Patrick Berger and Christina Kruise

"What if...Neuroscience in Theatre Became a Useful Tool Instead of a Novelty?" by Kristin Shumaker

"What if...BFA Programs Were Done Away With?" by Dan Schultz

"What if...American Citizens Gathered Regularly and Used Theatre as a Way to Converse with the Government about Social, Human and Political Concerns?" by Jennifer Schaupp
