Nonprofit Finance Fund Professional Development Program
In 2011, the Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF) launched the second year of an initiative to strengthen the nation's leading arts and culture organizations. Through a grant from MetLife Foundation, NFF will provide members of TCG, Dance/USA and the League of American Orchestras with financial guidance, tools, training and support to address the challenges precipitated by the current economic downturn. The services offered will be customized based upon need and will include webinars, workshops and office hours.

Services from the NFF Professional Development Program
Webinars
One-hour webinars will be made available for instant download and will focus on key areas of financial concern including Sound Financial Planning, Cash Flow Planning, Critical Elements in Not-for-Profit Financial Statements, Accessing and Managing Credit and Strategic Alliances and Partnerships in the Arts. Webinars will not be "live"; they will be available for immediate and regular download. Related and relevant Q and A can be addressed on the NFF Group website.
Workshops
NFF workshops offer members of TCG, Dance/USA and League of American Orchestras a wide range of services that help them stay in balance and in business. In these interactive workshops organizations of various sectors, sizes and situations learn how management and financial decisions affect their mission and health.
NFF Office Hours
NFF Office Hours are free consultation sessions available to TCG members to discuss a specific financial concern of the participant's organization, covering topics such as financial basics, optimizing the value of financial reporting and financial planning and strategy. Office Hours may be scheduled now through September 30 (pending availability) and consultations will last up to one hour and can be conducted in person (NFF’s NYC Office, 70 West 36th Street, 11th Fl. New York, NY 10018) or by phone. A limited number of these one-on-one coaching sessions will be available to our members! Registration is now closed.
Participants are encouraged to bring (for in-person sessions) or email (for phone sessions) relevant reference material for use during the consultation, including financial reports, budgets or audits. NFF experts will not be able to review materials in advance. NFF staff will contact you within 3 to 4 business days to confirm. Please note that that meetings will be scheduled at staggered points between June and September.
