Nonprofit Finance Fund Professional Development Program

About the Program:

In 2011, the Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF) launched the second year of an initiative to strengthen the nation's leading arts and cultural organizations. NFF has provided members of TCG, Dance/USA and the League of American Orchestras with financial guidance, tools, training and support to address the challenges precipitated by the economic downturn. The services offered were customized based upon need.

NFF Professional Development Program Services' information is posted on the NFF Group website where you can find general information, updates and the ability to register for upcoming events. If you are a TCG Member Theatre and would like to access the NFF Group website, please email Rachel Hutt.

All of the NFF Professional Development Resources were generously funded by MetLife Foundation.

Workshops

NFF workshops offered members of TCG, Dance/USA and League of American Orchestras a wide range of services that helped them stay in balance and in business. In these interactive workshops, organizations of various sectors, sizes and situations learned how management and financial decisions affect their mission and health.

These half-day workshops were designed for executive directors, senior level staff and trustees and engaged participants in how to incorporate financial goals into planning for a vibrant and viable future. Using real-life case studies, NFF offered interactive exercises to help staff develop financial plans that considered current financial dynamics, underlying business models and the full cost of providing healthy artistic programming. Additional information is available on the NFF Group website.
