2009 TCG Fall Forum on Governance

The 2009 TCG Fall Forum on Governance has concluded.

We would like to thank everyone who attended for making this years Forum a huge success.

The 2009 TCG Fall Forum on Governance took place November 6-8 at the innovative Desmond Tutu Center located at 180 10th Avenue (between 20-21st Streets) in New York, NY. The event was one of our highest attended with 176 registered and a record number of first time participants.

As we approach 2010, the affairs of our nation – the economy, politics, our international relationships – are still uncertain enough that it’s easy to hesitate, to wait and see what will happen next. But if we’ve learned anything through the last year of economic instability and change, it’s that we – as a national field and as theatres and in our own communities – must take advantage of this opportunity to identify and build upon our strengths, to examine practices that are not working, and to take bold risks that just might earn theatre a stronger position going into the future.

Join us as we search for innovative thinking, re-invigorate our approaches to leadership and decision-making, and investigate some of today’s success stories in theatre stewardship.

TCG sees the diversity of the field as one of its greatest assets, and is crafting this event to be useful for all member theatres, regardless of budget size, organizational structure, mission, audience demographics and geographic location.

We strongly encourage attendance by teams of organizational leaders and trustees.
