Trustee Teleconferences

TCG is proud to offer Trustee Teleconferences, a program of the TCG Trustee Leadership Network. This program offers trustees an opportunity to discuss the challenges, strategies and solutions they face in governing a not-for-profit theatre. There are no set expectations for the outcome of the teleconferences; only the inherent benefit in sharing information and developing a national network of trustees who can continue to call upon one another long after the teleconferences are finished. Agendas for these teleconferences are developed in response to the issues of greatest importance to the participants. The moderator will prepare a list with a broad range of potential topics and participants will vote on the topics to discuss.

To provide maximum benefit with minimal time commitment, the teleconference series consists of three one-hour-long telephone discussions spread out over three months, with a different central topic pre-selected for each discussion. A small fee of $100 will cover the technical costs of participation.

Current and Upcoming Teleconferences

The first Trustee Teleconference will include trustees who hold a position on their theatre’s executive committee, and will be moderated by Guthrie Theater trustee Karen Bachman. As only one trustee may attend per theatre and there are only 20 slots available, nominations for participation will be at the discretion of the managing leader. The teleconferences will take place on Thursday, May 8, Wednesday, June 18, and Thursday, July 10. All Teleconferences last one hour and begin at 2pm (EDT).

This teleconference is currently sold out. For more information, please contact Sarah McLellan, Management Programs Associate, at 212.609.5901.
