YOU ARE THEATRE

We want to hear your stories! We've only begun with 50 individuals in the hopes their videos will inspire you to share your own unique experiences in theatre. Now is the time to stand up and be heard, to represent the communities you live in and the work you believe in, and to record your own stories so the world can hear you say: I AM THEATRE.

Submission Guidelines

Video Length and Subject
Please submit a video that is less than 3 minutes in length and tells the story of a pivotal moment in your theatre career/experience. The story can be about anything from a victory or heartbreak to a transformational moment or moment of extreme hilarity.

Title and tag your video on YouTube
Use the title "I AM THEATRE" followed by your name, example: "I AM THEATRE: John Doe in Houston, TX. " Please include the following tags when you submit your video "I AM THEATRE", "Theatre" Theatre Communications Group" and "TCG". You can also use other tags to describe your video so that other people can find it; ex: "Theatre", "Playwright", "Your affiliated organization".

Claiming I AM THEATRE
We believe that it truly takes a village — and we all play a critical role in theatre. So if you feel comfortable, we would love for you to testify and say in your video, "I AM THEATRE." For example, "I am John Doe and I AM THEATRE." You can say that or some personalized variation such as, "I am John Doe. I AM THEATRE and the children I teach are theatre."
