TCG/ITI Travel Grants

Guidelines and Appplications

 

How To Apply:

Step 1:   Download the Guidelines.

Step 2:   Register online (no later than September 21, 2009!)

Step 3:    Download and complete the Application PDF.

Step 4:   Print, sign and postmark the Application (no later than September 21, 2009!)

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants already receiving funds directly from the Trust for Mutual Understanding for the proposed project are not eligible for the TCG/ITI Travel Grants.

Theatres applying on behalf of theatre professional(s) must meet the following requirements:

  • U.S. not-for-profit, tax exempt status
  • Professional orientation and high artistic standards
  • Employment of professional artists and administrators

Individual theatre professionals:

  • must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • must wish to initiate, continue or deepen relationships with artists and/or theatre companies in Russia and/or Eastern and Central Europe
  • who are affiliated with a U.S. theatre company that will be involved in the international work must be sponsored by that theatre and may not apply as an individual

Geographic Scope

These grants will support travel in either direction between theatre professionals in the U.S. and their counterparts in Russia or Central/Eastern Europe, including Albania, Belarus, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Herzegovina, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Poland, Romania, Russia, the Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Ukraine and Yugoslavia.

The independent Baltic States and those of Central Asia that were formerly part of the Soviet Union are not currently within the geographic scope of the program.

A general note about our applications: You will need Acrobat Reader 4.0 or higher to use these forms online. This free program will not allow you to save your work. We recommend using a word processing program while you work on the application, and then electronically copying your work to the form. If you prefer, Adobe sells another program that will allow you to save your work. Visit their website for more information at www.adobe.com.
