Selection Process
The application process for each round of the New Generations Program lasts seven months. All applicant theatres are required to submit an Online Registration Form, notifying TCG of their intention to submit a proposal, by midnight on December 15th, 2009. On December 15th, applicant theatres must also submit a Preliminary Proposal, including a Preliminary Proposal Form; a two-page narrative description of the project and selected information about the theatre. Preliminary Proposals are not accepted from theatres that did not submit an Online Registration Form by the deadline.
A preliminary panel, composed of independent national theatre professionals, reviews the proposals and selects a portion of the applicants to submit a final application. Final applications are submitted in April, and another national independent selection panel reviews the applications and chooses recipients. Recipients are notified in early July, and they are announced to the field in September.
