Observership Program
Guidelines
Eligibility Requirements
- Key artistic and administrative personnel who hold salaried positions at TCG member theatres may apply.
- Applicant theatres must be current on dues payments.
- No theatre will be awarded more than one Observership grant in a two-year period.
- Proposed travel must occur between February 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008.
- The independent national selection panel will award grants to theatres that prove most successfully that the Observership Program will increase the traveler’s knowledge of the field, aid in their artistic and administrative growth and benefit the theatre.
Selection Process
The application process for each round of the Observership Program lasts four months. In November, key artistic and administrative staff at TCG member theatres submit proposals. In January, a panel composed of independent national theatre professionals, reviews these proposals and selects up to six recipients. Recipients are announced in mid-January.
