Online Nomination Form
Eligibility Requirements
The purpose of the award is to identify exceptional mid-career freelance directors whose talent has been demonstrated through work in specific regions, but who are not known nationally.
- Nominees must be freelance mid-career theatre directors with a commitment to work in the not-for profit professional theatre.
- Nominees may not hold a salaried full-time position at a theatre.
Selection Process
- Artistic and managing leaders of TCG member theatres nominate individuals for this award.
- Nominees will be asked to submit application materials and two letters of recommendation.
- The application from the nominee, the letters of recommendation and the original nomination form will be forwarded to a preliminary selection panel. The panel will select finalists to be interviewed in New York.
- Panelists will consider each applicant’s talent, professional experience and potential for future excellence.
