"Pentapolis"
From Pericles, by Shakespeare, at the Public Theater (New York City), 1998. Directed by Brian Kulick.
"This music sets up Pericles's arrival at the bustling and bright city of Pentapolis.
Mallets, strings and horns, treated in a minimalist style, were used to define the city
in this production. This texture was in stark contrast to the sharper and darker
percussive textures used to represent many of the other locations in the play." —Mark Bennett
