March 5, 2012 at 7:00 PM
The Greene Space, NYC

Anne Bogart Sarah Ruhl Paula Vogel Anne Bogart, one of today’s most important theatre directors and Artistic Director of SITI Company, has conducted a series of intimate interviews with major artists and cultural thinkers who have profoundly shaped the arts and artistry in America over the past twenty-five years. These interviews have taken place at SITI Company’s New York rehearsal studio in front of a live audience. In these extraordinary conversations, Bogart and her guests have discussed such free-ranging topics as the driving forces in their work, the paths their lives have taken and their visions for the future of the field. Join us for an evening with Anne Bogart in conversation with playwrights Pulitzer Prize-winner Paula Vogel (How I Learned to Drive, The Baltimore Waltz, The Mineola Twins) and two-time Pulitzer Prize-finalist and recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship, Sarah Ruhl, who studied under Paula Vogel at Brown University. In BOMB magazine Vogel called Ruhl “one of the most unique minds in theatre I’ve encountered,” and her plays include: The Clean House, Eurydice, Dead Man’s Cell Phone, Passion Play and In the Next Room or the vibrator play. The evening will conclude with Anne Bogart signing copies of her upcoming publication Conversations with Anne, and Paula Vogel and Sarah Ruhl signing copies of their plays, all available from TCG Books.
