This research briefing reports on an in-depth research study on two productions by the British National Theatre that were broadcast live to movie theatres across the country. The research shows how the NT Live program allowed the National Theatre to reach new audiences for theatre, drawing on established relationships between cinemas and their patrons all over the country.
