Who will be at the convention?


The 2008 National Performing Arts Convention is THE place for
performing arts professionals to be. Performing artists, arts administrators,
arts professionals, amateurs, volunteers, fans, and supporters of
all kinds will be there. The convention will help the performing
arts field define its own priorities and set a new agenda. If YOU
aren't there you will miss out on shaping the future of the performing
arts in America.

Who can attend the convention?


Anyone, and everyone, who is passionate about the performing arts
in America is welcome to attend the 2008 National Performing Arts
Convention.


The TCG-specific events reqire additional registration; however,
they are not limited to members this year..

Who is planning the convention?


In line with the multi-disciplinary nature of
the convention, arts industry leaders affiliated with the following
national service organizations are taking charge of making this
the preeminent event for the the performing arts: American Composers
Forum, American Music Center, Association of Performing Arts Presenters,
Chamer Music America, Chorus America, Dance/USA,
Early Music America, League
of American Orchestras,
National Performance Network, OPERA
America and
Theatre Communications
Group.

Can I register soley for the TCG events during
the convention?


No. You must register for both the general convention
AND the TCG-specific events.

If I cannot attend the entire convention, can
I register for a day or two?


No. Registration covers all National Performing Arts Convention
programming from June 10-14. Additionally, TCG events will be covered
by a single registration fee.

registration fee?


No. When registering for the convention, you
must also specifically register for the TCG events. Please visit
the registration page for more information.

What additional fees are associated with the
convention?


Additional costs will include travel, lodging
and all meals. There will also be several oppitional pre-convention
seminars that require additional registration fees. It is possible
that some convention sessions may require additional materials fees.

How can I make lodging arrangements?


Included on the lodging page are
four different hotel options which we recommend. Those hotels are
also offering an exclusive conference rate. There are also a limited
number of dorm rooms available. Please check the lodging
page for more details as they become available.

Does TCG offer financial aid?


TCG has limited scholarships available to theatres located 750
miles or more from Denver. Scholarship information will be emailed
to TCG member theatres in February. Subsidy recipients will be announced
by the end of April. We do our best to assist as many theatres as
possible.

the convention?


Invitations will be sent with specific registration instructions
and grant related activities.

How can I volunteer at the convention?


Anyone involved with, or with a passion for, the performing arts
is invited to attend the National Performing Arts Convention. Additionally,
their are opportunities to volunteer both for the NPAC and specifically
with TCG.

specifically for a TCG event, please contact the National Conference Department.

Multi-disciplinary conversations are great,
but will I be able to find my theatre friends?


Yes! Although the convention will be unique
because of its size, there will be many opportunities to conect with
your colleagues in the theatre field both during all-convention
events and at the various TCG sessions.

Can I nominate someone for a TCG Award?


Nominations for the TCG Awards come from TCG's member theatres,
TCG board members and members of the National Council for the American
Theatre. The deadline for this year's nominations is February
25, 2008
. Each TCG member theatre may make one nomination
for each award category. Nomination forms were mailed to TCG member
theatres in January. Please check the awards
page for more detailed information.
