Wondering what to do with yourself on the Friday night of the conference? Why not sign up for a Dine-A-Round? These informal, "Dutch-treat" events are hosted by local theatre companies - you can join other conference registrants at specially selected restaurants for good food, good conversation, and a great taste of Baltimore. Thanks to funding recently supplied by the National Endowment for the Arts, we are able to provide registration fees as well as travel and lodging for up to ten independent theatre artists who would not otherwise be able to attend the conference. Celebrated author Jeanette Winterson will speak at the 2009 TCG Pre-Conference, ACTivate Change, in Washington, DC on June 3rd. The author of Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit, Winterson is the recipient of numerous literary awards as well as the BAFTA Award for Best Drama. She frequently writes and speaks about the importance and power of the arts in society, most notably in her book of essays, Art Objects. (updated 3/24/09)

TCG has extended the deadline to submit nominations for the TCG Awards which will be presented this June during the National Conference in Baltimore.
