Assessment results can be used to plan for the professional development of theatre education staff. In fact, changing education programming with solid assessment results is a very powerful way to organize meaningful professional development opportunities. Ongoing professional development that is supported by continuous feedback from assessment results is the new model for keeping up with the progress of one's program, the discipline of theatre and the field of education.
TCG's pre-conference day in June, 2007 was devoted to sharing training on best assessment practices and was part of TCG's project titled Building a National TEAM: Theatre Education Assessment Models. PowerPoint slides corresponding to helpful portions of the morning session from the TEAM pre-conference, affectionately called "Assessment 101" and led by assessment expert Robert Southworth, are available here.

Creative Quality: the Creative Quality website is an interactive venue where stakeholders can share ideas and resources for improving the quality of education in schools or communities. It includes a section on assessment and specifically the method of observation.
The Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education Toolbox: the Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education (CAPE) offers various resources for improving assessment of student learning in the arts.
The Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation’s Online Workshop: the Dodge Foundation now has an on-line workshop that helps nonprofit grantees set up evaluation and outcome measurements.
