TCG Trustee Corner
Trustee Research & Resources
The following is a sampling of research and resources available on the TCG website that may be of interest and help to trustees. For questions, please contact Ilana B. Rose, associate director of research & collective action, at irose@tcg.org.
TCG Governing Boards Survey
TCG periodically conducts a Governing Boards Survey that captures not-for-profit board of directors' composition—including age, gender, and race/ethnicity—as well as board structures; policies and activities; development and engagement practices; committees; board/staff relations; and priorities. Reports on the Governing Boards Surveys can be found in the Snapshot Surveys section of the TCG website.
TCG Fiscal Survey and Theatre Facts
Each year, TCG conducts a comprehensive Fiscal Survey, which is the basis for Theatre Facts, TCG’s annual in-depth report on the fiscal state of the U.S. professional not-for-profit theatre field. Available to all member theatres, as well as the general public, Theatre Facts is a vital resource for theatre professionals, trustees, funders, policy makers, educators, and the press.
TCG Governance Centerpieces
TCG Centerpieces/Special Reports offer in-depth analyses, case studies, and resource tools on governance, as well as other management areas.
The TCG Circle
TCG's blog, the The TCG Circle, can be searched based on Salon Series—a curated series of articles on certain topics—or by category. Its home page is regularly updated with the most recent posts.
TCG Fall Forum on Governance Archive
Materials, videos, and transcripts from the annual TCG Fall Forum on Governance can be found in the events section of the website
