Latest Theatre Facts Survey Now Open

TCG is pleased to continue our research partnership with SMU DataArts. TCG members will complete the Theatre Facts 2022 Fiscal Survey via the Cultural Data Profile (CDP) through the DataArts platform.This year, TCG has added no additional questions, so when you’re done with the CDP, you’re done with the Fiscal Survey!

We strongly urge all of our Member Theatres to participate in the Theatre Facts 2022 Fiscal Survey. As theatres continue to recover from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, TCG uses this data to advocate at the federal level for the support our theatre ecology urgently needs. We also use this research in our press outreach to ensure their coverage is grounded in the realities of data that we collect. As we did with Theatre Facts 2021, we’ll also conduct an in-depth analysis of Theatre Facts 2022 to identify outliers—such as theatres that are growing their subscriptions and single tickets—and share them through programming like our Virtual Working Groups on Audiences.

Completing the Theatre Facts 2022 Fiscal Survey/CDP also gives your organization access to a suite of analytic tools to help you better assess capacity, manage day-to-day operations, and plan for the future. The deadline for completing the survey is EOD August 1, 2023. While we have offered extensions in the past, we’re urging theatres to complete the survey by this deadline so that we can report on the data while it is most timely and useful.
